We all thought that Kyu Jong was filming for a new Canon Camera, but as it turns out, it's NOT TRUE. Sorry for the wrong information, but the source of that info earlier was mistaken. You know how it is sometimes, news and rumors get messed up, that sometimes what we get aren't always accurate. But the truth will always come out, right? And on that point, let me reveal the real score about Kyu. He wasn't filming for a new Canon CF, he was filming for a new TEEN DRAMA! Wow! Looks like Kyu's dream of trying his hands on acting, is coming true! Good for him! I think this is just the first of his series of acting stints... after all, we've all seen how good he is in his MV's and TV shows, actingwise. SS501's Kim Kyu Jong and actress Seo Hyo Rim will be the main characters in a teen web drama "Set'i" on astronomy, written by Yoon Tae ho, who became famous with the comic book "The Moss", filming begins this week.

Web drama "Set'i" is an astronomy teen drama based on plans to explore extraterrestrial life in outer space, Seo Hyo Rim and SS501's Kim Kyu Jong cooperate and act as lovers.

From 6th Oct onwards, every Tues and Fri, the 16 parts "Set'i", will be released simultaneously via comic and video format, and is the first to attempt to narrate the space stories in the hearts of young girls and boys. Seo Hyo Rim portrays "Set'i" fan club "Setian" member Yi Mi Ju, while Kim Kyu Jong enthusiastically takes up the challenge to act as Mi Ju's boyfriend Ho Sik.

According to someone close to Kim Kyu Jong, "This is the first time Kyu Jong is showing his acting apart from in MVs and individual videos for concerts", "the writer is very famous, and the staff have also filmed MV with him before, it's a very good chance to be able to work together."

This source said, "There's not much trouble while shooting", "This might be the basis for Kyu Jong's future acting activities."

The source then added, "Studying carefully on location, there'll be plans for acting from next year onwards", "The China-Japan-Korea drama that Kim Hyung Jun is appearing in, has also confirmed plans for Kyu Jong's appearance."

On the other hand, in "Set'i", Mi Ju is an anti member within Setian, she starts to question her hobby, with club activities getting longer and longer yet having no results. But her boyfriend Ho Sik remains immersed in Set'i, and is unhappy over any unsatisfactory talk of Set'i. With the appearance of Professor Park, who increases Ho Sik's curiosity towards Set'i, more frictions result. But when Mi Ju witnesses Ho Sik's true life, and had a deep understanding, the turn in their relationship arrives.

09/30 [News] Kim Hyun Joong is adjusting to his best condition to attend Taiwan Concert

Starting from next month, SS501 Asia Tour Concert will officially begin. Kim Hyun Joon will return back to his team and bring wonderful performance to Taiwan.

On 17 October, Kim Hyun Joong and SS501 will return to Taiwan and hold their Asia Tour Concert at Taipei Arena. Actually, recently Kim Hyun Joong has already gradually started to work on the 2nd album and also involve in preparation for a series of public performances.

Related personnel mentioned: "Actually Hyun Joong himself is very tense with his work and the Asia Tour Concert after his full recovery. While busy with the final preparation for the 2nd album, he also take time to recuperate to handle the coming Asia Tour. Of course, the 1st task is the 1st Taiwan Concert."

This year July, SS501 successfully invaded Taiwan and hold their 1st Fan Meeting. Currently they are preparing for a brand new concert content to return to Taiwan and meet with everybody next month. Five day before the official online ticket sales, the October concert ticket had already hit an 80% sales, from this it showed their popularity in Taiwan. Once the official online sales started, it is even more difficult to get a ticket.

Internal staff mentioned: "Once news about Hyun Joong sickness was released, all have even more anticipated to see him return to Taiwan in good health. Therefore, everybody expectation of this concert is very high. Actually not even local fans from Taiwan, fans from Hong Kong, Singapore and other nearby countries will also visit Taiwan to attend the concert. Therefore when organizing for the Taiwan concert, we had plans to make a special stage."

Kim Hyun Joong is able to gain high popularity in Taiwan mainly due to the Korea version "Boys over Flowers" which is currently broadcast in Taiwan. This new broadcast has brought forward a new wave in the chinese circle, occupying pages in major newspaper. In addition, Kim Hyun Joong has always ranked first in the local media search.

SS501 (members Kim HyunJoong, Kim KyuJong, Kim HyungJoon, Park JungMin, Heo YoungSaeng) had a great performance prior to their comeback on 3rd week of October. SS501 sang ‘Because I am Stupid’ and a great number of songs at ‘Wonder + Full Korea Concert’ held at 6pm on 27-Sep at Seoul Songpa-gu Bangee-dong Olympic Park’s Fencing Stadium.

However, leader Kim HyunJoong was not seen during this performance on that day.
Members confirmed his absence, “(Kim HyunJoong) was sick recently. He couldn’t come because he is sick today too.” And explained the reason, “We are currently preparing for our official 2nd album. Please wait for awhile more because we will show you our new songs by then”

In addition, MC Kim BoSung, Yoon SonHa also asked about their new album.
Kim HyungJoon said “This is an album which took nearly 2 years (of preparation). You will be able to see our startling appearance within a month. It is very different from what we had (before). Don’t be too taken aback and please support us lots.”

Heo YoungSaeng was asked to express about their upcoming Asia Tour “We’ve finished our concert in Seoul and Japan. We will travel around Asia from now, and we are very nervous about it. We are also excited since there are countries that we will visit for the first time, we hope to quickly go to different countries and present our great appearance over there.”

When being asked about the members’ ideal type, “A female who can do the best of what I’ve asked her to do, I will find her very attractive and sexy. And I am very grateful to all our fans who came here with us. Everyone is my type of ideal girl.” Kim HyungJoon said as a representative for the group and received cheering from their fans.

Lastly, SS501 said “Our comeback is scheduled on 4th week of October. The sale for mp3 should be out prior to that. Hope you can anticipate for it.”

Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center Grand Theater is a large-scale sea view theater, surrounded by sea, and is the only theater built on the sea in China.

Take Up The Model Challenge With Hyun Joong

Hotsun Chicken will be organizing an event whereby members of the public will have the opportunity to become a model alongside spokesperson Hyun Joong.

This event will run from the 22nd till the 30 of November, and will be open for participation to everyone. Those interested in participating can do so by logging into the Hotsun Chicken website (www.hotsun.co.kr) and filling up an application form at the events page of the website.

Hyun Joong: I Read Adult Manga


Hyun Joong recently revealed that he reads adult manga.

Hyun Joong, who was featured on a recent recording of Family Outing informed the MC that he has been reading interesting mangas lately. Upon hearing that MC Yoo asked him what manga has he read lately, to which he answered adult manga.

His response caused MC Yoo to be flustered, and Hyori also laughingly mentioned that MC Yoo also favored those type of mangas. Both Hyun Joong and MC Yoo appeared bashful at that statement.

Hyun Joong then went on to further explain that it was mangas like 'War of Money' that made him feel that he had begun reading mangas for adults, hence adult manga. His explanation cleared up the misunderstanding that both Hyori and MC Yoo had about the term adult manga.

Fancam Kyu Jong Focus - Ur Man Wonder +Full Korea Concert

According to media reports in Korea, the 'Wonder + Full Korea Concert' received very good responses and proven the Hallyu stars' popularity.

At 6pm, 27 Sept, '2009 Wonder + Full Korea Concert' was held at Seoul Olympic Park. The concert was participated by 3500 audiences, from these 800 over were fans from China, Japan and other Asia countries, who came in order to meet their Hallyu star face to face.

SS501 decorated the last stage of the 1st part of the concert. Regarding the new album, they revealed: "The promotional activities is scheduled to start from the 4th week of October, however, the music source will release earlier, please anticipate."

In the beginning of September, contracted new influenza in Japan, SS501 leader Kim Hyun Joong was absent in this concert. Regarding this, Kim Kyu Jong expressed: "Kim Hyun Joong was sicked recently. Today he was also not feeling well, therefore could not participate in this concert. We are preparing for the 2nd album, in order to let him regain his health before the come back, so today he would be resting."

Today the Wonder+Full Korea Concert took place and Leader wasn't in attendance. But the 4 made up for it. The boys are amazing as usual... and it's good to see they're healthy and active again. I just hope that Leader completely recovers soon. Anyway. Here are pictures of SS501 from the concert.
