For the last installment of the SS501 Zodiac Profile Series, let's learn more about Kim Hyung Jun. The youngest of the group is a Leo, and a Rabbit. Find out if what his zodiac profile says about him is accurate... (Note: The texts in blue are my comments, do not copy!)

Leo is the fifth Sign of the Zodiac. Moving past the exploration of the world and the need to nurture of the first four Signs, Leo's great need is to create. Creativity is one of Leo's keywords (Hyung Jun plays the piano, which is one of the most creative instruments there is), and people born under this Sign have the vitality and ambition to be successful in their creative endeavors. As the fifth Sign, Leo also rules the fifth House: the House of Pleasure.

The Astrological Symbol of Leo is the Lion. The Lion is the King of Beasts, and Leos enjoy being treated as the kings and queens of the Zodiac (Hyung Jun likes to be pampered, doesn't he?) Like the Lion, Leos have great physical strength and stamina. They tend to be opinionated, but they have a strong ability to see their projects through to the end. In this way, Leo exemplifies the Fixed Quality assigned to it. Leos may be arrogant or egotistical, but they are good organizers and tend to be popular (yeah!) and even inspiring.

Leo is ruled by the Sun. In ancient times, the Sun was believed to be the center of the Universe, the core of existence, the Father. Today, the Sun is important because it generates warmth and keeps life on Earth moving. Leos, too, sometimes feel they are the center of the universe, and sometimes they are!

The Element associated with Leo is Fire. Fire Signs are physical: they tend to respond to the world through action, rather than practicality, intellect, or emotion.

Like Fire, Leos are always moving and quick, and their warm-hearted and outgoing personalities are similarly fiery. They tend to seek power more than other Signs, and because of this people sometimes feel they are obnoxious, boastful, self-centered, or rude (I don't think Baby is obnoxious, do you?) But despite their sometimes hotheaded or cutting response, Leos are cheerful and self-assured (come to think of it, I think out of all the SS501 members, baby and Jung Min are the ones always smiling and always cheerful), sometimes to the point of living in a fantasy world. They are always happy as long as someone is paying attention to them! (Haha!)

At their extreme, some Leos can be vain and childish or overbearing in their reactions (I guess Triple S fans will always associate Hyung Jun with being childish, after all, he's the baby of the group, and we still think he's adorable), but generally they're happy so long as they are comfortable.

In their leisure time, Leos prefer to play in groups rather than solo. They are too gregarious to enjoy solitary running or weight lifting, and they much prefer team sports or group exercise.

Sensitive and Moody

Although moody, Leos tend to be optimistic most of the time. However, Leos that receive insufficient attention can grow depressed and sullen. Leos also sulk in response to minor slights, particularly blows to their pride, but they tend to recover quickly. Quick to anger and quick to forgive, most Leos wear their hearts on their sleeves. (I agree with this, Hyung Jun is a cry-baby, so he definitely wears his heart on his sleeve.)

Strong and Athletic

Leo’s totem is the lion, lord of the jungle — full of muscularity, grace and ferocity. This means that their physical appetites and general level of energy are extraordinarily high. (This is true, especially the physical appetite part, Hyung Jun really likes to eat a lot, as shown here, and here, and also here.) They need to be physically mobile and fully engaged in meaningful work and social activities to feel good.

Most Leos are athletic and energetic, and they love a challenge, physical or otherwise. Leos tend to be physically strong and usually have good musculature. Leo tends to be an attractive sign (Hyung Jun really is a pretty boy, no one can argue with me on that! Look at him in this picture, and also here. So handsome!) with the only flaw being a tendency to put on excess weight due to overindulgence. Most Leos eat and drink too much.

Creative and Attention Seeking

Leos are especially prominent on stage and in Hollywood, as their natural ability to act and their flamboyance and love of attention make them naturals at fame. A combination of creativity and a need for the spotlight suits many Leos to careers that involve either performance or working with the public in some capacity. Leos have many dramatic talents, which leads some of them into the film industry or related professions. They love to be the center of attention and the idea of fame and stardom particularly appeals to this sign. (So we don't even need to wonder why Hyung Jun excels so much in his chosen profession. He loves fame and stardom just as much as we love him. LOL.)

Confident and Extroverted

The confident, sunny Leo nature often ensures popularity. Leos are very sociable and love to throw and attend parties. They also love to talk, and some have a tendency to brag or be pompous (I've seen this with baby, sometimes he has the tendency to brag, but in an adorable way of course. LOL.) Negative Leo types can be bullying, snobbish, patronizing and conceited, dominating conversations and individuals (thank goodness Baby isn't on the negative side of the spectrum, hehe). However, the Leo confidence, or overconfidence, more often manifests as charisma and risk taking than bullying behavior.

Leo popularity is enhanced by a tendency to share time, energy, money and affection with others. All they require in return is to receive a larger share of affection than the average person. (Baby won't have a problem with this, because Triple S are always there to shower him with love and affection, right guys?!)

Vain and Assertive

Leos are very concerned with their appearances (haha! I was wondering when this will crop up! Because this is one quality of baby that Triple S and SS501 members are all too familiar with! He always looks in the mirror to check out his appearance wherever he goes.) Often the confident, capable Leo persona covers some degree of low self-esteem or worries about attractiveness and other personal traits. Despite these occasional bouts of worry, Leos are good at promoting themselves and marketing their considerable talents. They are assertive enough to get what they want out of life, and most are talented enough to achieve much of what they set their minds to. Although they can be lazy around the house, they are hardworking and driven when something interests them. (Baby once said, that out of all the members, he was the one who had to work hard to be what he is today. According to him, he wasn't as popular as the other 4 members, so he had to double his effort, and it paid off.)

Passionate and Protective

Leos are very passionate and sensual. In love, they are romantic. They are also ferociously protective of friends, lovers and family, and most are willing to die for what they believe in. Their passion often extends to patriotism as well (I vaguely remember Hyung Jun said if we wasn't involved in music he would have wanted to be President of Korea.) Loyalty is Leo's trademark. People know that a Leo is a genuine friend who is always ready to lend a hand. Even if they can’t help someone with their specific problem, they still manage to send out a warm and reassuring vibration that makes them feel better.

High Need for Excitement

Leos love flashy cars and exciting people. They usually dress to get noticed, and are bold enough to make statements, verbal or otherwise. They have the guts to put themselves forward and don’t mind the whole world looking at them. In fact, they prefer it. They crave a little danger, which makes them natural risk-takers, sometimes excessively so. Leos tend to be drawn to extreme sports, and in some cases, stormy romantic affairs with highly unsuitable partners.

Leos In Love

Affairs of the heart will quickly take on a 'me first' quality with the Lion, since they truly believe they are the best and must come first. Leos love to feel good, as befits royalty, so they will respond exceptionally well to pampering and flourishes. While Leos love to be admired and adored, they can also take the lead in romance, since they believe their strength and power will win the day. When the Lion gets going, watch out! Passionate fireworks will fly, since these folks know how to turn on the charm, and the heat (can't argue there! I swear, Hyung Jun may be all cute and childish, but when he turns on the charm, he's really hot!). Since all the world's a stage to the prancing, dancing Lion, fun, excitement and a little razzle-dazzle are all part of their repertoire. Leos are willing to gamble where romance and love are concerned, since losing is not in their vocabulary.

What Leo Needs

What the King/Queen of the Jungle wants more than anything else is to be fawned over. Being a devoted sort, the Lion will return this gesture in kind, making a partner feel special, indeed. A lover with the right vibes, who comes bearing gifts, exudes class and remembers that it's nothing but the best for this stellar cat, is clever and wise. The one who can bring out the true Lion, which is often hiding behind the glare of white lights and preening to an adoring crowd, will do both of them a favor. In the end, Leo's lover must always remember who is number one, and act on this all the time. (So ladies... do you think you have what it takes to love a Leo?)
