Aries is the first Sign of the Zodiac. It represents birth and the first realization of Self. Additionally, because it represents the beginning of the Astrological year, people born under this Sign like to get things started. They are the pioneers of the Zodiac, tramping courageously into the wilderness. They are dynamic and active (like the horse! lol.) As the first Sign, Aries also rules the first House: the House of Self, also known as the House of Personality. (And we all know Jung Min has THE personality).

The Astrological Symbol of Aries is the Ram. Like the popular conception of the Ram, Aries people are able to accomplish many things by sheer energy and force of will: "ramming" their way to their goals (for some reason, I can actually visualize Jung Min butting his head into everything. Haha.) Arians can be blunt, and they are bold and strong. Aries tend to be about self and ego (hmm... sounds familiar?) rather than the balance between people. They are self-contained, and sometimes selfish, but they are not loners.

Often larger-than-life, they can light up a room with their charisma (no wonder Jung Min is called Sexy Charisma). If a gathering is dull, they’ll quickly move on – and they’re among the ones with the stamina to party ‘til dawn.

Egotistic and Quick-tempered

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, the first in any modern (or old) astrology sun-sign list. This strangely enough, often transfers to the person born under Aries into a "me first" type personality (haha! So like Jung Min. He loves himself first and foremost). Very active and outgoing, the Aries person has all the mental tools needed to make their mark on the world. Unfortunately this can lead to a selfish, egotistical outlook on life (for some, not all).

Aries people tend to be honest and forthright, almost to a fault at times. They are not subtle, and they have terrible tempers that are easily set off (In the show Thank You For Waking Us Up, he was hitting and biting the people waking him up. Leader is even scared of him! LOL), though they are also quick to forgive. They often say and do things rashly that cause strife in their interpersonal relationships. A lack of tact can create problems. Aries have a tendency to feel they are right and can get snappy if told otherwise (definitely Jung Min, he likes to be right all the time, lol). When bored, Aries people may pick fights simply to entertain themselves and fulfill their subconscious need for conflict. (Probably the best description of Jung Min! He always picks fights especially with his favorite target, baby Hyung Jun. He would beat him up, and wrestle with him or sometimes he would drag the youngest into a dramatic scene if he's bored. In their show Idol World there are plenty of scenes like this.)

Determined and Conceited

Arians tend to want what they want and when they want it. Aries need to accept that this isn't always possible, and stop butting their heads, Ramlike, into the nearest wall. This is a valuable lesson that enables them to develop their understanding of themselves. But because of the ego that can manifest itself in Aries, some Rams may feel that they are the center of the universe (Again, Jung Min loves himself above all else. All SS501 members agree with this, even the Horse himself. Haha!) Aries who wish to develop themselves learn that they are part of the larger order of all people.

Pioneering and Entrepreneurial

Aries people are pioneering and entrepreneurial, willing to go to new places, try new things and start new projects. They often have trouble with authority and do better as their own bosses. They are good at self-promotion (well, need I explain more? Haha. I remember in IdolWorld, Jung Min always kept facing the camera as if on a commercial or something), which ensures that many succeed in their own businesses.

Aries people have very low boredom thresholds and can lose interest in things quite easily. Thus, a career must provide lots of change, social interaction and excitement or the Aries will want to move on. (It's a good thing he's in the entertainment industry. No boredom there. Haha.)

Extroverted and Friendly

Aries is a very sociable sign. Aries people like to be around other people most of the time and seek out novel and exciting situations. They prefer people who challenge them intellectually and compete with them in some way, and they quickly grow bored and irritated with homebodies and cautious, timid types (maybe that's why Jung Min always picks a fight with Hyung Jun).

Sociable gregarious extroverts, Arians are fantastic to have around because they tend to add life and soul to any party (with that famous smirk of his!) because of their energetic, bouncy, mischievous and enthusiastic nature (I agree. Jung Min brings so much fun to SS501, he's always so energetic. I never fail to laugh at his silliness and Hyun Joong's too).

Impatient and Talkative

Aries people think fast, move fast and talk fast, in fact many of them are chatterboxes (I guess no one's gonna argue on this one. Jung Min is really the talkative one of the group. No wonder he's good with languages, and he became a DJ too.) They are not very patient, particularly with slow moving, slow speaking people. In fact, Aries is the least patient sign of the zodiac.

Youthful and Idealistic

Aries people tend to be fun, lively, playful and youthful. Most retain some childlike qualities throughout adulthood, both physically and psychologically.

Despite the emotional courage of this sign, Aries people are surprisingly sensitive and eager to please. Though they can be pushy and domineering or controlling at times (this is so like Jung Min, ask Hyung Jun, haha!) they are also idealistic, trusting, and in great need of reassurance. Aries people can be quite naive, and others may take advantage of this.

Naturally Optimistic

Aries people do nothing by half-measures. Anything they choose to do, they do fully and completely. They are stubborn and generally refuse to accept defeat, even long after a situation has become untenable (I remember all those times when SS501 would play games, and Jung Min will always be sulky when he loses, and most often than not, he would demand a rematch so he still has a chance to win. LMAO). They rarely stay down for long though, as this is a naturally optimistic sign that bounces back quickly from misfortune and strife. Aries people have a way of coming out on top in most situations. (Way to go Mal!)

Aries and Friendship

Aries are good friends, they always look out for their friends with caring and generosity and will protect them should the need arise and encourage them with their natural optimism (this is true, Jung Min is really protective, especially of Kyu). If confronted, Aries can turn to be quite childish, they will fight back with their aggressive nature and are known to have temper tantrums should they not get their way (Jung Min actually admits that of all the members, he's the one who gets sulky often).

Aries Temperament

Independence is key to Aries astrology, they do not like to take orders from others and enjoy getting their way. They can get childish or moody should they be given orders that they do not like. Aries easily take offense to comments made (Jung Min said that he usually has emotional ups and downs and when the other members ignore him, he feels bad. Aww... so Mal is sensitive too.) Aries are self-involved and can be self-centered, if they do not pay attention to the feelings of others, Aries can easily become spoiled and resented by others. In order to get their way, Aries will tell a lie if it seems advantageous to do so (reminds me of Hyun Joong!) They are however, not very good liars and other people can usually see through them. (LOL)

Aries in Love

Aries is a moving target where love is concerned, always looking, seeking and often finding. It can be very hard to resist the Ram's magnetic charms. The aura surrounding those born under this sign is one of intensity and intrigue, so many will be tempted to step up to the plate. This is exactly what Aries wants: many opportunities to play the game of love. Some things will work, and some won't, but the game is surely fun! The beauty of it all is that Aries flourishes in love, becoming a more sensuous, understanding and feeling soul (sounds good? Hmmm... ladies who are in love with Jung Min, listen up!) Aries doesn't generally need hearts and flowers to give them a warm and fuzzy glow. What's far more important to members of this sign is to find a partner who is equally strong and self-possessed (haha. So true. Jung Min once said he would want a girl who is just like him) and who will challenge them to greater heights, both mental and physical. The person who can draw them out and make them better is a keeper. It also helps if Aries' partner can handle the occasional fiery argument and master the art of making up (I would imagine a lot of petty fights just for the fun of it. Haha.)
